Project Management Professionals (PMP).  Our project leaders have attended project management training and are certified in Project Management by George Mason University.  We have also been trained and are Certified Scrum Masters in agile web development by Scrum Alliance.  We use a combination of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Scrum Alliance principles to effectively leverage the right tools and approach to the project and client.

Project execution. It is expected that a single decision maker (product owner) be designated to represent your needs and that the decision maker be available for up to 30 minutes per day, every day, throughout the lifecycle of the project (and sprints).  The product owner is the key representative responsible for communicating your vision of and requirements for the project to the agile development team.  We typically conduct a four (4) hour release planning session every month and a two (2) hour sprint planning session every week.  Participation of your product owner at these sessions is valuable and critical to the success of the project.  At the end of every day, we have a daily standup where we prioritize next day’s activities.  There is a sprint review and retrospective at the end of every sprint.

Communications.  Communication with our agile development team will be primarily between product owner and agile project manager via in-person meetings, GoToMeeting (Google Hangouts, Skype, WebEx), telephone, Basecamp project management communications tool, and E-mail
