About us

inQbation is a rapidly growing web design and digital marketing agency serving federal government, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses in the Washington DC metro area.  The firm is completing its fourth year in business and provides web strategy, design, development, SEO, social media and content management system (CMS) integration.  We help clients reduce costs, increase revenue, automate redundant tasks, and increase their public outreach and exposure.  We are located at the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) building in Herndon, Virginia adjacent to Dulles Airport.

The opportunity

We are currently seeking a young, brilliant, enthusiastic, energetic, web-savvy, business-savvy, Internet-savvy, online marketing professional and business analyst with outstanding communication skills and diverse abilities who is an independent self-starter.

Our expectations

Hopefully, you are a dynamic, results-oriented online media specialist, digital marketing professional, web content writer, ad copy writer, blogger, business analyst, Internet guru, social media enthusiast, SEO/WordPress expert with a proven track record of using innovative technologies to share, promote and advance an organization or media outlet’s message.  We don’t micromanage, so we need people who can take initiative and figure out what to do and how to prioritize their day.

Your responsibilities

Among the billions of things you may do for inQbation and its clients, we are looking to you to design and implement marketing collateral and interactive website materials, make recommendations for social media outreach and blog post ideas, design and develop public affairs / public relations email/newsletter marketing campaigns, support and project management for WordPress, HTML, CSS, and CMS projects, Analyze, develop, and implement SEO strategies, monitor and track web traffic analytics, assist with video/photography production, art direction, business analysis and execution of online marketing campaigns.  If there are no meetings in the office and nobody else in the office, you may as well telecommute.  So, it would be good if you were completely set up with a home office and all the mobile devices you need to work on the road or on the fly.

Your experience

Ideally, in your past life, you were also a reporter, editor, journalist, and public relations professional.  As you can see, in a small firm, you will play a huge role.  Would be great if you had knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign), experience in HTML/CSS, knowledge of social media outlets, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Blogs and LinkedIn, excellent communication skills, ability to create design solutions that meet consumer needs and reflect brand message, ability to work on multiple projects at any given time under tight deadlines.  Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing
