Information is the foundation of e-government. It is important to be transparent with your citizens to make data and information publically accessible and meaningful to ordinary citizens through a variety of communications channels. To build a strong e-government, you need to have a solid foundation in which to build.  Information is that foundation.

Facilitating interaction with the government and allowing its citizens easy and convenient ways to conduct transactions with the government are the pillars of e-government. Effective online interaction and transactions support and facilitate the transformation of e-government.

The pinnacle of e-government is e-democracy whereby engaged citizens can participate in the decision-making process by crowdsourcing a variety of stakeholder opinions to identify the biggest problems of government and effectively and democratically solve these problems.
