Project Approach (Methodology)

inQbation embraces an agile software development methodology that consists of rapid sprints and an iterative process.  Each sprint follows four lifecycle phases that typically span a few weeks in duration.  Variation in time is usually a factor of how busy our clients are and their ability to provide feedback.

  • Database analysis, modeling, process modeling, card sorting, usability testing
  • Skeletal wire frame design and development for unique page templates and reports
  • Functional requirements brainstorming and  specification development
  • Use case scenario development and user acceptance test planning
  • Project confirmation, client feedback, and review

Design (duration 1-3 weeks)

  • Art direction
  • Home page design, presentation, review, iterations, revisions
  • Inside page design, presentation, review, iterations, revisions
  • Prototype development and presentation
  • Usability testing (mockups and designs)
  • Design confirmation, client feedback, review, and acceptance

Development (duration 3-6 weeks)

  • Content management system implementation (CMS), HTML/CSS development
  • Custom programming, systems integration
  • Content development and migration
  • Social media integration
  • Search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Section 508 compliance
  • HTML/CSS validation, compatibility testing
  • Usability testing, client feedback, and quality assurance

Deployment (duration 1-3 weeks)

  • Migration to hosted server
  • Quality assurance, user acceptance testing
  • On-site or Remote training, client feedback
  • Delivery of project code, data, and documents
  • Help desk and IT support
