A defining moment in Iryna’s journey came during her studies at DePaul University, where she learned Drupal under the guidance of Professor Michael Chase. His hands-on teaching style exposed her to the full lifecycle of web development—from building a site from the ground up to deploying it live. This experience not only sparked her passion for Drupal, but also led to her first real-world project, America’s Urban Campus, which marked the beginning of her career in IT and web development.
Throughout her career, Iryna has been recognized for her dedication to quality and her willingness to go beyond her core responsibilities. While working at Promet Source on the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA.edu) migration project, she was named Employee of the Month by the Acquia team for consistently exceeding expectations. In addition to her QA responsibilities, she took on front-end development tasks—helping streamline workflows and allowing developers to focus on more complex challenges. Her ability to bridge disciplines and support teams across roles has made her a trusted and valued collaborator.
