Curtis Ogle

Curtis Ogle is a Full Stack Engineer at Agileana, bringing 15 years of web development expertise to the team. His journey into Drupal began at a web agency where he initially worked as a Java engineer. As fate would have it, the agency's only Java project was cancelled, Curtis pivoted to Drupal—a transition that proved transformative. Over the past 11 years specializing in Drupal development, he has built a versatile skill set that allows him to contribute effectively across any phase of a project—from initial architecture and design to implementation and deployment.

Throughout his career, Curtis has worn many hats, serving as both a hands-on developer and technical architect. His adaptability and deep technical knowledge make him equally comfortable building features, designing system architectures, or collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges. Curtis is also passionate about fostering growth in others and enjoys mentoring junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.

When he's not writing code, Curtis enjoys baking,  hiking, playing old video games, and being a dog dad. Curtis' creative pursuits fuel his problem-solving approach and collaborative spirit in the workplace.

When writing code and working on projects, Curtis is guided by the following principles:

• Don't reinvent the wheel where it isn't necessary (contrib first!)
• But also don't overly rely on third party libraries for critical systems
• Prioritize maintainability and readability over elegance (you will thank yourself during incidents - and they WILL happen)
• Documentation is a deliverable
• Always keep learning, iterating, and improving
